COVID-19 Update

On behalf of the Executive Committee for the Wells Fargo Nebraska Open, we want to thank you for your support of the Wells Fargo Nebraska Open. Your generosity has helped fund more than $1.6 million in scholarships for students who attend one of the five community college systems within NPPD’s service territory. Now more than ever, these scholarships are essential to help these aspiring scholars fulfill their dreams of obtaining a college degree.

The 29th Wells Fargo Nebraska Open, set for September 10-13, 2020 at Elks Country Club in Columbus, NE will have a completely different look this year.

With the recent COVID-19 surges and various travel restrictions made across the country, we want to be mindful of your health and well-being.  We are delighted to be able to move forward with the professional tournament, which will be limited to Nebraska Section PGA Professionals and top amateur golfers who reside in Nebraska. However, in order to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the Nebraska Open Pro-Am event originally scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2020. But there is still an opportunity to be part of our tournament.

Here is where we need your help! We understand the magnitude that this pandemic has had on everyone’s business and personal lives. We would ask you to consider making a contribution at your previous sponsorship level or an amount that you feel comfortable contributing. With this gift, your company will receive name recognition on tournament banners and it will be mentioned during the tournament on our social media channels.  We understand that this looks quite different than in years past, but our mission and vision for this event continues to be about helping deserving students obtain a college degree.

Please notify me if you’re able to support us in this unique way in 2020, no later than Monday, August 24th

We are looking forward to returning with the full tournament next year, and to welcoming you to rejoin us in the festivities in person.

Be safe, be healthy and thank you for your commitment for all these years!
